Dr. Ng Guan Fook completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) from University of Malaya in 2003. He had worked as an Eye Medical Officer in several eye departments (Sungai Petani, Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim, Universiti Sains Malaysia and Penang General Hospital). He was conferred the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) Gold Medalist by Universiti Sains Malaysia and was an Ophthalmologist in Penang and Sultanah Bahiyah General Hospital. He was also the first Head of Department and Consultant Ophthalmologist in Hospital Kulim. During his career as an Ophthalmologist, he was awarded the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO)/Korean Ophthalmological Society Travel Grant, Universiti Sains Malaysia Gold Medal Award for the Best Master Medicine Student and the Fellow of Alumni of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Today, besides overseeing Perdana Eye Specialist, Dr. Ng also serves as a tutor for medical students plus researching and publishing papers both locally and internationally. He is also actively involved in many charity eye screening and surgery in Malaysia and overseas.
